🏛️ Council endorses new town centre plan + school fete roundup

Council endorses Hurstville town centre master plan

Council voted 9–2 to adopt the updated plan, with new pedestrian zones, a upgraded library plaza, and changes to parking along MacMahon Street. Construction expected to begin late 2027.

Major DA approved: Forest Road mixed-use development

A six-storey mixed-use building approved at 163 Forest Road — ground-floor retail with 42 apartments above. Includes 15 affordable housing units and streetscape improvements.

Beverly Hills North Primary School fete this weekend

The annual school fete returns Saturday 7 June, 10am–4pm. Carnival rides, cake stalls, silent auction and the popular barbecue run by the P&C. Road closures on Highview Ave from 8am.

King Georges Road lane closures for water main works

Sydney Water will close the southbound left lane on King Georges Rd between Bellevue Rd and Stoney Creek Rd from 8–14 June, 9am–3pm weekdays. Local diversions via Bridge St.
